Have just recovered from back to back galas over the weekend.  Sunday was a lovely day all round. Our owl costume is proving to be a winner at the moment.  It is a very popular choice for many young aspiring stars (school plays especially).  Owls have flown our nest and made their way over to Germany, Australia and the USA as well as numerous spots in the UK! Well the weather was gorgeous and the ride was beautiful.  Although we do not have the official figures as yet, I reckon at least 100+ people turned out to cycle in aid of Kate.  12 miles of meandering tracks AND HILLS around the Derwent in Derbyshire. The views were absolutely spectacular. The ride wasn't TOO bad.  All ages took to the pedal.  Kate's husband and 3 children were out in force.

A number of local families will be taking part in a sponsored bike ride round Derwent Dams, Derbyshire on Sunday 23rd May 2010.  It starts at 9.15am (Those taking part to arrive for 9am) and is approx 12 miles.  Those who don't wish to pedal round may go on foot instead.  Money raised will go towards buying essential equipment for local mum Kate and The Northern General Hospital where she is

Terramundi pots are a great alternative "Easter Egg" for those who prefer something other than chocolate.  AND...what's more, they are practical too.  Before Christmas, Jan (one of our local customers who is hooked on Terramundi!) announced in passing that she had saved over £700 in her pot.  Amazingly, to Jan's dismay, she was pipped at the post by another local customer who had saved over £900!
